How are Exosomes Harvested?

The process of preparing the biproduct of human derived exosomes used in our formulations for safe, effective, and ethical use in skin and hair care products is incredibly intricate.Exosomes are produced by almost every type of cell, and the human exosomes sourced for our use are harvested from stem cells from umbilical cords. The process of preparation for use in our products results in the final ingredient being a biproduct and no longer being classified as ‘sourced from human cells’. In strict laboratory conditions, our world-leading stem cell chemists prepare our exosomes by initially feeding them with proteins and amino acids, causing them to multiply millions of times. This multiplication creates many, many different types of growth factors.

The mixture is then filtered repeatedly until a highly concentrated solution is created, packed with growth factors which, at this stage, are classified as ‘non-human’ in their biological status. This process improves the stability, flexibility, and efficacy of how the exosomes can be used in liquid products.
